Home Watch is a professional property monitoring service for homes that are temporarily unoccupied. We perform scheduled inspections, look for signs of damage or concerns, and provide detailed reports so you can travel with confidence.


Who is this service for?

Qalaati is ideal for homeowners who are away on vacation, travelling for work, spending the winter elsewhere, or leaving their property vacant for any extended period.


What do you check during a visit?

Every inspection includes interior and exterior checks, including:

  • Heating and thermostat

  • Plumbing and signs of leaks

  • Doors and windows

  • Signs of forced entry

  • Snow and weather-related concerns

  • Overall property condition

Each visit includes time-stamped photos and a detailed inspection report.


How long does an inspection take?

Most inspections take between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the size of the property and any additional services requested.


How will I receive my inspection reports?

After every visit, you'll receive a digital inspection report with time-stamped photos, observations, and any issues that require your attention.


What happens if you find a problem?

If we identify an issue, we'll notify you as soon as possible.

If you'd like, we can also coordinate trusted local contractors to help resolve the problem quickly. You'll always be kept informed before any work is arranged, unless immediate action is required to help prevent further damage.


Do you provide emergency response?

Yes.

If there's a security concern, heating failure, frozen pipe, power outage, weather damage, or another urgent issue, we can respond quickly, assess the situation, and help coordinate the appropriate next steps.


Are you insured?

Yes. Qalaati carries commercial liability insurance and is committed to providing professional, reliable property monitoring services.


Are your Property Specialists background checked?

Yes. Trust is at the core of what we do. Every Qalaati Property Specialist is carefully selected and must meet our standards before being entrusted with customer properties.


How are my keys kept secure?

Your keys are stored securely and are only accessible to authorized Qalaati Property Specialists. We follow strict procedures to protect your privacy and the security of your home.

If your property uses a smart lock or lockbox, we can work with those access methods as well.


Do I need to be home to book?

No.

Most customers book before leaving town. We'll coordinate access to your property before your first scheduled inspection.


Can I request additional visits?

Absolutely.

Additional inspections can be scheduled at any time for $39 per visit, subject to availability.


What areas do you serve?

We currently provide Home Watch services throughout Yellowknife. As Qalaati grows, we'll expand to additional communities.


How do I book?

Choose the Home Watch package that best fits your travel plans and submit your booking online.

Once your booking is received, we'll contact you to confirm your schedule, review your property information, and arrange secure access before your first inspection.


Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes.

If your travel plans change, simply contact us as soon as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate cancellations or schedule changes in accordance with our booking policy.


Will I be able to view my inspection history online?

Yes.

Customer accounts will provide access to your inspection reports, photos, and service history, making it easy to review previous visits and monitor your property's condition over time.
